About us
Chartered in 1951, the Heart Of Maryland Chorus is one of 25 choruses in the Atlantic Bay-Mountain Region #19 of Sweet Adelines International. We are a fun-loving dedicated group of 30+ women who truly live up to our name. We have performing quartets, and an ensemble whose repertoire ranges from moving ballads to lively, choreographed up-tunes. Active participation is encouraged of all our members, both musically and administratively. “The Hearts” are governed by an elected board of directors and all chapter activities are supported by a strong roster of committee chairs.
Our director, Karen Collins has been directing the chorus since the summer of 2007. She is a retired music teacher who taught choral music for 31 years in Montgomery County.
